We are currently planning a programme of training and events for 2026 and will regularly update this list.

Training

First Response Training Module 1 (in person) - Saturday 24 January 2026. Due to demand, there will be two identical sessions  10 am - 12 noon (which is now fully booked) and 1 - 3 pm (spaces available), both at St James the Less Church Hall, Penicuik.

First Response training Module 2 (online) - Monday 02 February 2026 (tbc), 7.30-9.30pm, online. This session will be joint with Forth Valley.

First Response training Module 3 (online) - Monday 09 February 2026 (tbc), 7.30-9.30pm, online. This session will be joint with Forth Valley.

Please remember that you need to complete all the modules within 3 months, including the self-directed online e-module.

Thinking Day 100 - Dalhousie and Hawthornden joint event - Sunday 22 February 2026. 2-4 pm Bonnyrigg Parish Church. Booking via Division.

County Executive Meeting - Wednesday 04 March 2026, 7.30 pm, Dalkeith Arts Centre.

Vogrie Spring Clean - 23 - 28 February 2026. Please help make Vogrie Brownie  House and Campsite shipshape and ready for the 2026 season! On Sat 28 Feb the building will be open from 10.30 am - bring a packed lunch.

County Annual Meeting - Wednesday 06 May 2026, evening, North Kirk, Penicuik
